Cario Amman Bank, sixth largest bank in Jordan and third largest in Palestine by assets, has gone live with Temenos T24 core banking system.
Temenos’ T24 banking system replaces Cairo Amman Bank’s legacy core banking system and aims to centralise and improve the bank’s operational efficiency.
Piloted in June 2012 by Cario Amman Bank’s Abu Nseir branch, T24 began implementation with the Zara Mall branch in March 2013. The remaining branches, nearly 100 across Jordan and Palestine, are scheduled to go live by the end of 2013.
As part of the move to T24, the bank is also installing Temenos’ anti-money laundering screening solution.
Kamal Al-Bakri, general manager, Cairo Amman Bank said: "Temenos has delivered Cairo Amman Bank a modern, best-in-class core system, pivotal to the future success of the bank. We have invested in T24 to centralise and unify our core platform, eliminating complexity and lowering total cost of ownership. With T24 we now have an open and modern platform that integrates and interfaces with any external system and has the flexibility and scalability to grow with us."
Temenos, provider of banking software systems to banks and financial institutions is headquartered in Geneva and Temenos software is used by over 1,500 customers in 125 countries.
