Citibank has opened a flagship branch in
Manhattan, US, featuring the lender’s ‘Digitalised Smart Banking’
technology that was pioneered at branches in Asia.
According to Citi, the new branch reflects
Citi’s efforts to “deliver modern solutions and invest in retail
banking in key global markets”.
The new branch offers Citi customers
interactive sales and media walls.
The branch also features ten enhanced image
ATMs that eliminate the need for envelopes when making cash or
check deposits and free online access to Citi online.
President of US consumer and commercial
banking at Citi, Cece Stewart, said customers “live in a world
where digital innovation simplifies their lives” and according to
Citi their banking “deserves the same enhanced experience”.
“Much more than Digitalised Smart Banking
being the ‘bank of the future,’ I think it’s safe to say that for
Citi and our clients – the future is now,” added
Stewart.
Stewart further said, “With a commitment to
customer service and innovation, we are furthering our mission to
become the world’s premiere digital bank.”
The new Manhattan branch is the third Citi
retail bank location to offer the ‘Digitalised Smart Banking’
technology in the US.
Citi operates 1,017 branches in the US.
