Singaporean lender DBS has announced plans to hire a maximum of 100 technology staff through its recruitment hackathon initiative Hack2Hire.
The bank hired developers, data scientists and system engineers through the same hackathon in 2017, and will also be on the lookout for these roles this year.
At the same time, the new programme will also involve hiring of scrum masters, user interface and user experience designers, mobile application developers, as well as solution architects.
In order to secure a job, candidates will have to clear an online technical assessment set up the bank and solve real-life business cases in under 24 hours. Selected candidates will be appointed the same day.
The latest move will double the technology headcount hired through the Hack2Hire programme last year.
DBS group head of consumer banking and big data analytics technology Soh Siew Choo said: “To reimagine banking, it is important that we leverage the latest technology and embed ourselves in the customer journey.
