Emerging Markets Payments (EMP), an electronic payments processing company in Africa and the Middle East, has introduced its Instant Issuing Service that allows banks to issue customers with cards in-branch instantly.

With this service, banks can issue new, supplementary, replacement and renewal cards to customers instantly and also personalise the cards with the customer’s name, an option for a photograph and they can be linked to accounts.

Additionally, banks can also set up a customer selected PIN, activate the card, set user security and access levels and separate duties between makers and checkers to add more security and audit levels, the company said.

EMP Africa CEO Murat Ozulku said: "The Instant Issuing Service, combined with the more personalised offering and ability to activate and secure the cards more swiftly, will help them move a step closer to achieving that goal in a cost efficient way."
