Portuguese retail bank Banco BPI, part of CaixaBank Group, has entered into a new partnership to utilise Diebold Nixdorf’s self-service solution.
The collaboration will enable the bank to deploy Diebold Nixdorf’s multi-functional CS 4090 ATMs to provide cash recycling as well as other transactions.
The customers can utilise the systems for checking account balance; depositing cash and coins; changing notes into coins; and depositing multiple cheques as well as ordering cheques.
The cash recycler also serves as an important component to support BPI’s first mobile branch, which aims to offer financial services in rural areas.
The self-service solution has already been deployed at the bank’s 40 branches. Another 45 branches are expected to implement the solution by the end of this year.
The second phase of the solution is expected to be integrated with branch staff’s mobile application and mobile and home banking services by year-end.
