Barclays Bank of Uganda has launched the new Uganda Shilling Credit Card in addition to the re-launching of Prestige Banking to add flexibility to banking experience.
The credit card will cater for the Barclays Premier League and Platinum Credit Card holders allowing customers to conduct cashless shopping from any of the bank’s trading partners with a discount of 10%.
The card will also permit to access cash from over 22 Visa ATM outlets 24 hours a day across 150 countries worldwide and will send SMS alerts to cardholders for every transaction they make besides providing monthly e-statement and up to 50 days interest-free credit on full payment.
The bank will offer its Prestige Banking customers with an array of benefits including express counters at designated branches, access to life insurance cover of up to UGX21m ($7304.43) inclusive of last expense funeral cover of up to UGX800,000 ($278.26), access to a Visa platinum debit card and access to rewards from the Barclays alliance partners.
