BisB digital branch:

The digital branch will enable the customers to carry out conventional transactions through self-service kiosks without human intervention.

The Galleria Mall centre will support card less cash withdrawals and deposits, cheque book printing, instant card issuance.

Additionally, the customers can open accounts and apply for financing through the BisB digital branch. They can also speak to a bank representative through a video screen for assistance at the branch.

BisB CEO Hassan Jarrar said: “Simplifying customer experience is a top priority at BisB. Our new digital branch will provide an exceptional digital experience where almost every task is easily accomplished online or via video conferencing.

“We look forward to enabling such self-service and digital services across all BisB branches to facilitate our customers’ daily banking transactions and simplify their lives.”

In 2017, the Bahrain bank launched ‘BisB Digital’ initiative. It includes all forms of digital services including online, mobile and video banking to support the digitisation.

In October last year, we reported that National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) is planning to acquire stake in BisB.

NBB said in a filing that the move is subject to completion of diligence investigations, internal pricing assessment as well as board and shareholder approvals.
