The updated versions will also allow the customers track all transactions within the app. The feature supports transaction searches by description or amount simplifying expenditure review.

These new features are available on the Android versions of Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland. It is slated to roll out on iOS platform later this month.

Lloyds Banking Group retail transformation director Stephen Noakes said: “We are constantly developing new ways to make mobile banking simple and convenient for our customers.

“The latest features make it easier to search statements, as well as offering new ways to automatically keep track of payments with friends and family.”

The addition of new mobile banking features follows the launch of Lloyds Banking Group’s open banking app.

In June this year, the British lender launched open banking app for Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.

The service will enable customers to check their savings and credit card accounts from other Lloyd subsidiaries.

With more than 15.9 million online customers, Lloyds Banking Group is one of the largest digital banks in the UK. Around 9.8 million of its customers use banking apps.
