Germany-based digital bank Penta has opened its digital business banking platform for all types of businesses by adding self-employed professionals to its clientele.

Penta’s digital banking platform provides features like multi-user access for the accountant, and integrated accounting software or multi-account aggregation solution.

The platform also includes future services like cash flow forecast and the ability to open sub-accounts using an International Bank Account Number (IBAN).

Penta allows companies to apply for a business account within minutes and receive a German IBAN, debit cards and other financial services.

Penta initially had a client base of 20,000 small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with two to 50 employees.

In December last year, the company started onboarding freelancers like doctors, notaries, lawyers and sole proprietors such as craft businesses.
