Lloyds has once again captured the hearts of the nation with a new tear-jerking advert featuring its iconic black horse.  Evie Rusman takes look

As we continue to face unprecedented times, Lloyds has created a feeling of togetherness in its latest TV offering. The clip, which is called Forever Forwards, sees Lloyds’ iconic black horse galloping alongside a steam train, a group of cyclists, and a mother and her son as she teaches him how to ride a bike – just to name a few.

Being set to a cover of the Carpenters’ We’ve Only Just Begun, makes the clip a heartfelt watch and gives a sense of optimism to a nation navigating the aftermath of Covid-19.

Speaking on the advert, Richard Warren, Director of marketing communications at Lloyds, says: “The next chapter of our horse story, Forever Forwards, recognises and celebrates the resilience of British people and businesses we serve. The advert represents a diverse range of customers from all across the nation as they move forward, and above all reminds customers that we are by their side during these extraordinary times.”

Masters behind the advert

Creative agency adam&everywhereDDB and The Devil’s Horsemen were again the masters behind the new advert, which features the tagline “By the side of a nation that never stands still”.

Lloyds also tapped both companies to run its By Your Side, For Your Next Step, and The Running of Of The Horses campaigns.

A spokesperson for adam&eveDDB, says: “In our latest work for Lloyds Bank, Forever Forwards celebrates the resilience of both individuals and businesses and serves as a reminder that Lloyds Bank is always there for customers.

“In a world that’s always changing, the Lloyds Bank black horse represents both continuity and momentum. We wanted to make an optimistic ad about new beginnings, and use the brand’s famous icon to provide reassurance that Lloyds is always there for customers.”

Last year’s advert saw two generations of the Lloyds black horse embarking on an epic journey together.
