German neobank N26 has launched CASH26 service in Greece in collaboration with software firm viafintech.
The service will enable the customers to use 110 partner Bazaar supermarket stores for cash withdrawal and deposit.
The customers can use their smartphone to locate the nearest partner store and select withdrawal or deposit option to generate a barcode. At the store, the checkout staff will scan the code to carry out the operation.
N26 South East Europe general manager Andrea Isola said: “CASH26 meets the needs of the Greek customers, who are still closely tied to the use of cash for all the daily expenses. N26 customers will be able to withdraw and deposit money at Bazaar’s stores using their smartphones only.
“We are particularly proud to be the first mobile bank to launch this kind of service, in partnership with viafintech and Bazaar’s stores. Our goal is to offer to Greek customers a high value service, totally tailored to their needs: with CASH26, using a practical and simple solution, we have combined the time of shopping with the needs of withdrawal and deposit, guaranteeing a significant saving in terms of time and spending.”
Notably, the service is already active in Germany, Austria and Italy.
