The value marked a decrease of 44.9% over the previous month of $832.83m and a rise of 18.6% when compared with the last 12-month average of $387.07m.
Europe held a 12.97% share of the global financial services industry venture financing deal value that totalled $3.54bn in April 2021. With a 3.57% share and deals worth $126.35m, the UK was the top country in Europe’s venture financing deal value across financial services industry.
In terms of venture financing deal activity, Europe recorded 26 deals during April 2021, marking a decrease of 40.91% over the previous month and a rise of 4.00% over the 12-month average. The UK recorded eight deals during the month.
