By GlobalDataIn the first phase of collaboration, Jago will be integrated as a cashless payment method on the Gojek app in Indonesia.
This feature, which will be available to Jago customers immediately, allows them to connect their bank account and Jago pockets to the Gojek app and make cashless payments for Gojek services.
This eliminates the requirement for top-ups while enabling them to track their Gojek transaction history on the Jago app.
Gojek chief of corporate affairs Nila Marita said: “As strategic partners who are committed to financially enabling Indonesians from all segments of society, we see this integration as a true milestone in our efforts to increase access to digital financial services.”
Gojek and Jago said they will continue to collaborate to bring about new digital financial services for consumers.
This includes a plan to enabling consumers to open a bank account with Jago through the Gojek app eventually.
Bank Jago compliance director and corporate secretary Tjit Siat Fun said: “The initial integration between Gojek and Jago will introduce many new benefits for our customers when they transact on the Gojek app.
“In time to come, we expect that this will make customers more disciplined in their spending and saving habits.”
Last month, Bank Jago tapped Mambu’s cloud banking platform to power its banking services.
