Conestoga Bank, a US retail bank, is has announced it is to install two more video ATMs at a branch in Wayne, Pennsylvania
The video ATMs, know as personal teller machines (PTMs) are made by tech company uGenius, which was absorebed by NCR in January 2013.
Lori Adamski, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Conestoga Bank said: "We’ve always believed that transactional video technology can create a great experience, and we’ve found that our customers appreciate the additional service they receive through our personal teller machines."
"By acquiring uGenius, NCR has demonstrated significant leadership in the future of video banking, and we’re excited about the future for this technology."
PTMs connect bank customers to a live, remote teller via a two-way video and audio built in to the ATM.
The remote tellers then have full control of the ATM and, according to Conestoga Bank, can complete more than 95 percent of typical branch transactions.
