Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and NatWest have partnered with technology designer Grapple to launch a chat facility.
The Mobile Chat facility is available to their online registered, business banking customers who have access to a Smartphone.
The chat facility enables RBS and NatWest customers to log on via the online banking app and initiate conversation with Mobile Chat advisors who are dedicated to answer business banking queries.
Mobile Chat will help with direct debit quires, payment status questions and information on fees and charges.
According to NatWest this new addition to RBS and NatWest’s mobile app will reduce call-waiting times and in-branch queuing.
Aron Thompson, Digital Director, Business & Commercial, RBS, said: "We are delighted to be the first bank in Europe to launch Mobile Chat."
