Asia-Pacific’s financial services industry saw a flat growth in cross border deal activity during November 2021, when compared with the last 12-month average, led by Amplo, Ayala, Bow Wave Capital Management, Globe Telecom, Insight Partners, Itai Tsiddon and Warburg Pincus’ $300m venture financing of Globe Fintech Innovations, according to GlobalData’s deals database.

A total of 31 financial services industry cross border deals worth $1.1bn were announced for the region in November 2021, against the 12-month average of 31 deals.

Of all the deal types, venture financing saw most activity in November 2021 with 20 transactions, representing a 64.5% share for the region.

In second place was M&A with seven deals, followed by private equity deals with four transactions, respectively capturing a 22.6% and 12.9% share of the overall cross border deal activity for the month.

In terms of value of cross border deals, venture financing was the leading category in Asia-Pacific’s financial services industry with $810.6m, while private equity and M&A deals totalled $244.98m and $10.17m, respectively.
