St George and Qantas announce credit card partnership

Australia’s St George Bank and
airline Qantas have teamed up to launch ‘Amplify’, a new rewards
credit card.

Customers can choose between two
rewards programmes – Amplify Qantas or Amplify Rewards – and will
be able to earn Qantas frequent flyer points on eligible purchases
at the rate of 1 point per A$2 ($1.8) spent.

Points will be automatically
transferred to the customer’s Qantas frequent flyer account each
month.

St George is also offering customers
double rewards points made with their Amplify card until the end of
June.

For a limited time only, new
customers will have their A$82.50 joining fee waived, and will pay
an annual fee of A$79 with no limit to the number of points a
customer can earn.
