US-based Renasant Bank has expanded its collaboration with NCR Atleos to enhance its self-service banking capabilities.

The bank has deployed Atleos’ Activate Enterprise to upgrade its interactive teller machines (ITM) and automated teller machines (ATM) programme.

Renasant Bank chief experience officer and executive vice-president Michelle Rivers said: “At Renasant, we are focused on making banking more accessible and convenient while continuing to maintain critical personal relationships.

“By teaming with Atleos, we are able to quickly and reliably provide customers with the latest features and innovations across self-service banking, resulting in exceptional experiences. This expanded relationship with Atleos enables us to manage our fleet more efficiently and effectively as we continue to grow while widening our customers’ access to cash.”

With the enhanced ATM and ITM fleet, equipped with Atleos’ Activate Enterprise, Renasant Bank will offer more functionalities, including contactless card tap features.

The integration of a single platform for managing the self-service channel will streamline operations for the bank, translating into higher efficiencies and time savings.

The bank collaborates with Atleos on various aspects of its fleet management, encompassing software, field services, managed services, security, cash management, and cash in transit (CIT).

Renasant Bank’s ITM programme is expected to expand to over 75 machines within the year.

The bank, with assets worth $17.5bn, operates 185 banking centres across five US states.

It has recently acquired The First Bank, adding another 110 branches and broadening its presence to Louisiana.

Atleos North America general manager Steven Nogalo said: “The expanded collaboration with Atleos will enable the bank to reduce back-office complexities, increase customer loyalty and carve out a significant competitive advantage as they continue to grow their presence within existing markets and enter into new ones.”

In November last year, NatWest Group tapped NCR Atleos to modernise its self-service banking operations.

This is aimed at improving the customer experience for over 19 million clients across the UK by upgrading more than 5,500 ATMs and multi-function devices.
