Blend Labs has integrated with Prove Identity, aiming to enhance digital onboarding processes for lenders using its Consumer Banking platform.
This collaboration incorporates the Prove Pre-Fill solution, which is designed to expedite the onboarding experience for consumers applying for deposit accounts, credit cards, and loans.
The Prove Pre-Fill solution allows for the secure pre-population of application forms with verified identity information, significantly reducing the need for manual data entry.
This integration aims to streamline the application process, making it more efficient for both lenders and consumers.
By using their mobile devices for authentication, users can enhance security and reduce the risk of account takeover by fraudsters.
Blend co-founder and head Nima Ghamsari said: “We’re proud to partner with leading providers like Prove to empower banks and lenders to continue innovating while supporting their communities. Ultimately, our mission is to continue making it easier for consumers to access financing.”
Prove’s approach differs from traditional identity verification methods, which often rely on personal information alone. Instead, it requires physical access to the user’s mobile device, making impersonation more challenging.
Consumers can review and edit their pre-filled information, which helps to minimise errors and decrease the likelihood of form abandonment during the application process.
The partnership is expected to provide several benefits to financial institutions, including increased conversion rates, improved borrower experiences, and reduced data entry errors.
Additionally, it aims to accelerate customer onboarding by nearly 80% and enhance data authenticity and accuracy.
The integration also addresses various fraud tactics, such as Synthetic Identity and True Name Fraud, through Prove’s Global Policy.
Prove banking solutions head Rich Rezek said: “Through our partnership with Blend, we’ve modernised the financial application process—making onboarding and verification streamlined and frictionless for consumers, banks, and lenders while reducing fraud.
“This collaboration is a step forward in building a more efficient, accurate, and trusted financial ecosystem.”
Last month, Blend Labs partnered with Talk’uments to integrate multilingual digital language solutions into its mortgage origination platform.
The collaboration aims to support lenders and borrowers in managing the mortgage process across multiple languages.
