DnB Nor pre-tax retail income up 10%
Norways DnB Nor Group has posted a 9.6% year-on-year increase in half year pre-tax income from retail banking to NOK3.6bn. Net interest income from retail banking for the six months to June rose by just under 1% to NOK7.1bn.
RBS launches iPad app for retail customers

USAA drops debit card rewards
USAA Bank has become the latest bank to end debit card rewards following the implementation of the Dodd Frank Act. The bank said it is ending the rewards scheme on 1 September in order to continue to offer free current accounts and other member-valued benefits. But the bank emphasised that it would not begin adding extra charges and that the decision only affected debit cards and not credit cards rewards.

JPMorgan Chase launches premium account for military
