HSBC will leave Georgias banking market by early 2012, it has been announced. The decision follows recent declarations of HSBCs exit from retail banking in Poland and Russia.

Lloyds Banking Group tops the list of bank complaints

Lloyds Banking Group has topped the list of bank complains ranked by new complaint cases received by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) With more than 37,000 complaints between January and July 2011, Lloyds has again ranked as the most complained about bank, with complaints up by 50% from 22,000 in the previous six months and from over 12,500 in thesame period last year.

Co-op Bank offers banking services through Britannia branches

The banking services of the Co-operative Group, The Co-operative Bank, will now use 250 high street Britannia branches to offer everyday-banking services, completing the integration of Britannia Building Society.
