It has been reported that ING have fixed the technical problem that affected thousands of their Dutch customers on 2 April and 3 April.
The internet banking breakdown lead to some customers ‘losing’ thousands of Euros and some ‘gaining’ thousands; these balances were displayed incorrectly on customers’ internet banking.
Reports state that the error was caused by duplicate payments caused by payment processing problems on 2 April.
