A total of 82 financial services industry deals worth $4.2bn were announced for the region in June 2021, against the 12-month average of 85 deals.
Of all the deal types, M&A saw most activity in June 2021 with 41 transactions, representing a 50% share for the region.

In terms of value of deals, venture financing was the leading category in Europe’s financial services industry with $2.09bn, while M&A and private equity deals totalled $1.43bn and $683.73m, respectively.
