The value marked a decrease of 74.5% over the previous month of $66.01bn and a drop of 27.2% when compared with the last 12-month average of $23.14bn.
In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a rise of 2.25% with 318 deals in September 2021 when compared to the last 12-month average of 311 deals.
In value terms, North America led the activity with deals worth $6.43bn in September 2021.
