The figures, which cover the top major banks, central banks, and non-bank competitors companies, show the market in the US to be the most active, with 33 deals taking place over the last three months. That was followed by China, which saw 14 deals.

Raymond James Acquires Charles Stanley Group - 29 July ($387m)

Raymond James Financial Inc, a investment bank and financial services company has acquired USD387.1(£278.9 million) Charles Stanley, a Investment management company.

Charles Stanley Share at 515 pence or 43 per cent above yesterday's close.

KB Financial Group Acquires Remaining 30% Stake of Prasac Microfinance Institution - 22 August ($322m)

KB Financial Group Inc, a South Korea-based provider of banking, insurance, financial products and services, has acquired remaining 30% stake of Prasac Microfinance Institution Plc (formerly Prasac Microfinance Institution Limited), a Cambodia-based microfinance company, for USD322 million.

Following the transaction, KB Financial now owns 299,999,999 shares, representing 99.99% of Prasac Microfinance's total number of shares issued.

Al Futtooh Holding Company Acquires 45% Stake in Al Ansar United Real Estate Company - 30 June ($161m)

Al Futtooh Holding Company K.S.C., a holding company, has signed an agreement to acquire a 45% stake in Al Ansar United Real Estate Company SPC, a real estate services providing company, from Kuwait projects company (Holding) K.S.C.P. An investment holding company, for KWD48.7 million (USD161.38 million). All the companies involved in the transaction are based in Kuwait.

VTB Bank Acquires Minority Stake in Carsharing Russia (Delimobil) - 04 June ($75m)

VTB Bank, a provider of retail, private, investment, and corporate banking services, has acquired minority stake in Carsharing Russia LLC (Delimobil), a provider of an application which offers services such as parking, insurance, petrol and car service, for approximately USD75 million. Both companies involved in the transaction are based in Russia.

Resilient Innovations (BharatPe) Acquires 100% Stake in Payback India (Loyalty Solutions & Research) - 10 June ($30m)

Resilient Innovations Private Limited (BharatPe), a Digital payments app, has acquired 100% stake in Loyalty Solutions & Research Private Limited (PAYBACK India), a multi-brand loyalty program. Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in India.

Venture financing

Zhejiang Zero Run Technology (Leapmotor, Zhejiang Lingpao Technology) Secures USD694.72 million in Venture Financing - 18 August ($693m)

Zhejiang Zero Run Technology Co., Ltd (Leapmotor, Zhejiang Lingpao Technology Co. Ltd.), a China-based energy car maker, has secured CNY4.5 billion in new venture funding round.

The funding round was led by China Capital Investment Group, with participation from China Securities, CITIC Dicastal, as well as the State-owned Assets Supervisions and Administrations Commission of Hangzhou Municipal Government.

Beijing ESWIN Technology Group Secures USD463.95 Million in Series B Funding - 30 July ($464m)

Beijing ESWIN Technology Group Co Ltd, a China-based provider of products and services in the field of integrated circuits, has secured CNY3 billion (USD463.95 million) in Series B funding led by CITIC Securities, Jinshi Investment, along with participation from China Internet Investment Fund, Shaanxi Financial Holding Group, Yida Capital, Zhongwei Capital, China Life Investment, Xinjin Energy Investment and Sanxing Capital.

Light Source Capital acted as financial advisor to Beijing ESWIN Technology.

Think and Learn (Byju's) Secures Additional USD340 Million in Series F Funding - 12 June ($350m)

Think and Learn Private Limited (Byju's), an India-based educational technology company, has secured additional USD340 million in Series F funding led by ADQ with participation from Blackstone, Phoenix Rising–Beacon Holdings, UBS Group and Eric Yuan.

In addition, IIFL's private equity fund and Maitri Edtech also participated in the funding.

Post the transaction, Byju's will be valued at USD16.5 billion.

Pine Labs Secures Additional USD315 Million in Venture Funding - 06 July ($315m)

Pine Labs Pvt Ltd, an India-based point-of-sale device company and merchant commerce platform, has secured USD315 million in funding round.

Participants in this funding round include Fidelity Management & Research Company, BlackRock, Tree Line, fund advised by Neuberger Berman Investment Advisers, IIFL AMC, Kotak and others.

This round is an extension to previous USD285 million funding and brings the total funds raised by Pine Labs in this round to USD600 million at a valuation of USD3.5 billion.

Fireblocks Secures USD310 Million in Series D Funding - 27 July ($310m)

Fireblocks Inc, a US-based digital asset custody, transfer and settlement platform, has secured USD310 million in Series D funding co-led by Sequoia Capital, Stripes, Spark Capital, Coatue, DRW VC and SCB 10X.

In addition, BNY Mellon and SVB Capital are also participated in the funding.

With this funding, Fireblocks has secured USD489 million in total funding and valued at over USD2 billion.

Private equity

iCapital Network Raises USD440 Million in Private Equity Funding - 27 July ($440m)

ICapital Network Inc, a US-based financial technology platform has raised USD440 Million in Private Equity Funding from Noah Holdings and Golub Capital, MSD Partners LP, Owl Rock Capital Partners LP, Temasek, WestCap, Ping An Voyager Partners, Blackstone, UBS, Pivot, BNY Mellon, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

MAXEX Secures Strategic Investment from J.P. Morgan - 22 June

MAXEX, LLC, a digital mortgage exchange to enable the trading of residential loans through a single clearinghouse, has secured a strategic investment from J.P. Morgan, with participation from existing MAXEX investors AGNC Ventures and Moore Asset Backed Fund, LP. All companies are based in the US.

The PNC Financial Services Group (PNC Riverarch) Acquires Fresh Direct Produce - 10 August

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc (PNC Riverarch), a US-based private equity firm, has acquired Fresh Direct Produce Ltd, a Canada-based distributor of fresh, ethnic, tropical, organic, and specialty produce, from Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company, Inc (HKW), a US-based private equity firm.

Debt financing for the transaction was provided by MidCap Financial, BMO Sponsor Finance, and HSBC Bank Canada.

Davis Yung is the president, CEO, and co-founder of Fresh Direct Produce.

Truist Securities served as the financial advisor and Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP served as legal advisor to HKW.

Main Street Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Orttech - 04 August

Main Street Capital Corporation, a US-based private equity firm has acquired majority stake in Orttech Inc, a US-based distributor of clutches, brakes and related torque control products and components.

Timia and CIBC Invests in Agentis Energy - 14 June

Timia Capital, a Canadian based provider of growth capital to B2B and CIBC, a banking and financial services, has invested in Agentis Energy, a US based provider of energy management software.

Asset transactions

Capital One Financial Acquires Assets from Mesa West Capital - 01 June ($130m)

Capital One Financial Corporation, a diversified banking company, has acquired the assets including commercial mortgage whole loans from Mesa West Capital and certain fund subsidiaries, for USD130 million.

Mesa West Capital is a commercial real estate portfolio lender. Capital One Financial Corporation, a diversified banking company.

JP Morgan Acquires HHIC-Phil 169 And HHIC-Phil 170 Tankers From Compagnie Maritime For US$110 Million - 09 July ($110m)

JPMorgan Chase & Co has acquired HHIC-Phil 169 and HHIC-Phil 170 tankers from Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB), for a purchase consideration of US$110 million.

The HHIC-Phil 169 and HHIC-Phil 170 both are 2021-built, Belgium-flagged crude oil tanker, with a gross tonnage of 63,300 tons and deadweight tonnage of 114,000 tons.

Pestana Group Acquires Hotel Madeira Palacio from Banco Comercial Portugues - 02 June ($55m)

Pestana Group, a Portuguese tourism and leisure group, has acquired the hotel madeira palacio situated in Spain from Banco Comercial Portugues (Millenium BCP), for a purchase consideration of EUR45 million.

The Bamboo Ide8 Insurance Services Acquires Assets of First American Property and Casualty Insurance Agency from First American Financial Corporation - 17 June

The Bamboo Ide8 Insurance Services, LLC, has acquired the assets of First American Property and Casualty Insurance Agency from First American Financial Corporation. All the companies involved in the transaction are US-based providers of insurance and related services.
