1st Source Bank, a lender based in Indiana, has tapped ACI Worldwide to boost digital banking capabilities.

The bank opted for Universal Online Banker solution, the vendor’s cloud-based solution.

In selecting the solution, the bank’s aim was to support consistent interactions across different devices such as mobile, tablets and desktops.

1st Source Bank president Jim Seitz said: “With ACI’s digital banking solution, we’re able to offer sophisticated online banking tools that help our customers manage their cash flows, make payments and instantly assess the financial status of their business.

“In addition, with APIs offered through ACI’s cloud-based solution, we’re able to innovate and create new services that keep up with customer expectations.”

Comprising an extensive library of APIs, the solution of ACI is said to enable banks provide multiple features while addressing security concerns.

According to the vendor, the solution will support development of new revenue streams for the bank.

ACI said that its solution will allow the lender to compete with larger banks and fintech players.

ACI vice president of Banking Solutions Jim Gillespie said: “With ACI’s cloud-based Universal Online Banker, 1st Source is set to take advantage of the digital banking transformation and successfully compete with larger institutions and disruptors in the space.”
