Dutch banking technology provider Backbase has teamed up with Siili Solutions, a digital transformation company, to accelerate banking innovation in the Nordics.
Building on Siili Solutions’ deep local expertise and regional presence, the partnership will expand the available resource pool, allowing financial institutions to address the needs of the Nordic market with tailored solutions.

The collaboration will combine Backbase’s banking platform with Siili’s regional expertise and AI capabilities to aid banks to modernise their services while maintaining full control over their strategy.
The partnership will offer several advantages to Nordic financial institutions, including faster deployment of modern banking solutions through pre-built applications and journeys.
This deal will also offer Nordic financial institutions with enhanced ability to create personalised customer experiences across all channels, practical AI implementation strategies, accelerated time-to-market for new products and services, and reduced total cost of ownership through platform consolidation.

Initially focusing on the Nordics region, the companies aim to expand the partnership into Central Eastern Europe later.

In January 2025, Backbase announced a strategic partnership with Knowit, a Nordic digital transformation consultancy.
This collaboration further strengthens the technology provider’s presence across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, helping financial institutions accelerate digital transformation while delivering superior banking experiences at scale.
In January, Backbase also teamed up with US-based digital-only credit union Alliant Credit Union.
