Bolivia-based Banco Ganadero has selected SwissBytes Virtual Box (SB-VBOX), developed by SwissBytes, which is integrated with Yubico’s YubiKey authentication factor to offer secure online banking services for its customers.
SB-VBOX consists of two components, the authentication service and a web application – YubiKey Control Center.

YubiKey is a USB security key that generates one-time password as second authentication.
Integration of SB-VBOX along with YubiKey authentication allows banks to offer increased ease of using its banking services.
The solutions can be installed on any operating system or can be used as a virtual machine.
Yubico CEO, Stina Ehrensvard, said financial transactions and banking are one of the top targets for online criminals and one simple stolen password can wreak havoc on one’s online identity.

SwissBytes CEO, Marius Lang, said Banco Ganadero chose SB-VBOX with YubiKey authentication because it is such a highly effective and easy-to-use solution to secure their home banking services.
