Bank Austria, a member of Group UniCredit, has collaborated with Worms-based Kobil Systems, a mobile security platform provider, to offer its clients CardTAN to authorize their online banking transactions.

Kobil will provide the bank’s clients with respective TAN generators, which will be linked to the bank’s website.
To be provided by Bank Austria, CardTAN will offer secure online transactions with effective protection from phishing and other criminal cyber-attacks and will require a TAN generator, "TAN Optimus Comfort", that will be available to interested customers via Kobil’s webshop.
Kobil Systems chief marketing officer for Germany, Austria and Switzerland Adnan Garip said: "Our TAN generators are a huge step towards more security. Our mobile security platform allows us to even expand reliable and convenient customer experiences.
"This platform fully releases bank institutes and their clients from SMS transaction authorization and additionally facilitates other forms of use."
