Bank of Cyprus has chosen IBM as the strategic partner to support its multi-year digital transformation programme.
The bank is making use of IBM’s expertise in deploying an enterprise wide process re-engineering program, and will leverage IBM iX capabilities to redesign its digital channels with an initial focus on mobile.
The two parties will also jointly set up a digital factory, which IBM said will “serve as a vertical, agile delivery function, hosting emerging technology skills and leveraging DevOps tools and methodologies”.
The pair will also launch an innovation capability to support innovation and prototype development.
As part of the digital transformation, the bank will also streamline its internal IT systems and service management processes, optimise IT infrastructure, and introduce foundational big data and analytics capabilities.
“The Bank’s Digital Transformation Program is designed to create a more modern and efficient IT platform, supported by streamlined processes,” the technology provider said.
