Barclays has collaborated with various app providers to launch a new tool known as SmartBusiness Dashboard that will help small businesses get a real-time view of their banking data and business data from third party apps in one place.
SmartBusiness Dashboard will use application programme interfaces (APIs) to help businesses import their existing apps or download services such as bookkeeping, sales and inventory, marketing and analytics and workforce management from different providers such as Google Analytics, SageOne, and Intuit QuickBooks.
Barclays Business Banking CEO Ian Rand said: “Busy business owners shouldn’t have to spend time sorting through different spreadsheets, reports or switching between apps – we’ve created a tool to give businesses time back – and this is an efficient way to run and grow their business.
“In giving businesses the choice to import their data and working closely with partners through the platform, we believe this is a game-changer and will boost competition.”
The tool will be available to the bank’s half a million business customers, free of cost.
