Denmark-based IT house BEC has teamed up with Nordic API Gateway to help offer open banking services to 27 Danish banks.
The tie-up is said to benefit more than 2.1 million banking customers.
As a result, 20-30% of banking customers in Denmark can view and make payments from accounts from other banks.
These customers will also be able to have a complete overview of their finances across banks, noted BEC.
Nordic API Gateway CEO and founder Rune Mai said: “Partnerships like this are the fruit of our focus on encoding compliance and high security standards into our DNA.
“Our privacy by design approach now means that we can deliver open banking technology to the largest players in the financial sector.”

“In a strong partnership with Nordic API Gateway, we can now also develop innovative services that interact directly with accounts at other banks.”
Last month, open banking platform Nordic API Gateway entered into a collaboration to provide open banking capabilities for Santander Consumer Bank’s consumer-focused money app called Prosper.
