Bank of America (BofA) has launched BankAmeriDeals – its online
and mobile cashback deals scheme – on a nationwide scale.
BofA began an online trial of the BankAmeriDeals service in
January – starting with North and South Carolina – aiming to allow
customers to save on retail purchases based on previous spending
patterns. The scheme has been rolling out in phases throughout the
US and more than 130m cashback deals have reportedly been served to
customers so far.
The BankAmeriDeals scheme, run by Georgia-based transaction
marketing vendor Cardlytics, allows customers to choose from deals
offered by national as well as regional merchants across a variety
of retail categories including discount department stores, fast
food chains and restaurants.
Through BankAmeriDeals, customers can choose the deals they want
through BofA’s online banking and mobile banking apps and the
cashback deals are put into the customers’ account, in addition to
other rewards customers may already receive from the lender.
Aditya Bhasin, consumer marketing and online
and mobile executive at BofA said:
“Our customers continue to tell us how
important it is to save money while they shop. And we understand
that consumers are busier and savvier than ever, which is why we’re
making it easy for customers to earn cash back while they’re online
or on the go.”
