CARTES &
IDentification 2010, the largest European trade show and conference
for digital security, smart technologies, payment and mobility,
will be held in Paris from 7 to 9 December 2010.
Celebrating its 25th
anniversary this year, “business, innovation, foresight and
celebration” are the main themes of this year’s CARTES, with around
20,000 visitors and 1,300 delegates expected to attend.
Around 500 exhibitors
will participate in the trade show, focused on four major
areas:
- Cards, devices, data processing equipment
manufacturing; - Software and security systems, including
data security, mobile and terminal security; - Engineering / Services, including
electronic data interchange, and - Identification, including biometric
technologies.
Slobodan Petrovic,
Director of the CARTES & IDentification trade fair said: “The
issues relating to smart technologies and card payment solutions
have become global, and companies active in this industry need
international exposure. CARTES is there to encourage these
exchanges.”
Exhibitor workshops
include presentations from Thales on advances in entitled cloud
computing; Oberthur has a session on innovations in prepaid
contactless cards, instant issuance and delivery solutions of
prepaid cards and PIN code and picture card solutions.
Giesecke & Devrient
is presenting a workshop on online and mobile financial services; a
session from Gemalto also focuses on internet banking.
