Taiwanese lender Cathay United Bank has chosen Gemalto’s authentication solution to secure online banking transactions.
Users of Gemalto's Ezio Mobile suite will be able to access their bank's services from their PCs, tablets, and smartphones, using mobiles for authentication.
The technology will allow the bank to offer an improved customer experience, reduce costs, and comply with the new government regulation requiring two-factor authentication, Gemalto said.
The technology vendor will offer support and maintenance services for the solution’s deployment.
Gemalto president for Greater China and Korea Suzanne Tong-Li said: "Consumers are increasingly moving towards mobile banking, with smartphone as the key device in their possession.
"With a broad portfolio of mobile-based solutions, we can support CUB in deploying their digital banking vision for maximum customer reach."?
