Announcing the move, CBA CEO Matt Comyn said that the redesigned application will offer personalised experience to the nearly 5.3 million app users.
Currently, the latest version is undergoing trials and will be launched in the following months.
Comyn said: “It will be an app that is for every one of our customers. We want it to really to feel like it’s your app.
“When you log into the app it will be personalised… and it will show on the home screen the most relevant thing for you.”
The upgraded CBA app will provide the customers with Smart Alerts, notifying them on pending credit card payments. It will also alert the user on high-cost credit card transactions and when they have overdrawn their account.
