China Construction Bank’s (CCB) Beijing branch has deployed a new electronic key management solution, NCR Dynamic eLock Management, at its automated teller machines (ATMs).
The new solution allows authorised users to access an ATM by only using an integrated chip (IC) smart key and a one-time password. This helps banks to improve their risks, efficiency and cost issues that arise during cash replenishment and service maintenance at traditional ATMs.
Additionally, the eLock Management solution also generates a journal and analysis report, allowing the bank management to understand the system’s operation and view the process.
NCR Greater China financial services president, Gary Miao, said the management of ATM safe box key and password has become a focus of concern from banks in China.
"This solution can help more banks in China increase their security management and save costs, making their life easier while replenishing cash and carrying out maintenance on ATMs," Miao added.
