Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Canada’s fifth largest bank
by assets, will open 20 branches over the next year and a half to
grow its market share.
The bank said it will expand its existing 1073-strong branch
network as part of its “investment in long-term growth”.
Christina Kramer, executive vice-president of distribution
services at the bank said the move will also enhance the service
offered to clients.
The network expansion will cover the majority of major Canadian
provinces including British Columbia, Ontario and Québec.
