Citadele Bank Latvia, a full-service financial group for both private individuals and companies across the Baltic States, has selected VASCO Data Security International’s DIGIPASS for Apps library and CRONTO visual transaction signing solution to combat fraud.
The DIGIPASS for Apps API library, which includes fraud mitigation features such as rootkit detection, has been integrated with the bank’s mobile application.

CRONTO, a patented visual transaction signing solution, has also been integrated into the bank’s MobileSCAN application.
CRONTO will enable the bank to combat Trojan and man-in-the-middle attacks during customer transactions, the vendor said.
Using both the applications, Citadele will be able to help its customers connect to their accounts either online or via a mobile device conveniently and securely.
