Citi has launched a new opt-in feature, Citi Mobile Snapshot, in its Citi Mobile app that allows US banking and credit card customers to check their account information without logging into bank account.

Just by opening the Citi Mobile app, customers who choose to opt in by enrolling in the feature will be able to view their deposits, credit card balances and last 15 transactions on the go.

However, all the other account related transactions will continue to require log-in authorisation by the customer.

Citi Global Consumer Banking chief client experience, digital and marketing officer, Heather Cox, said customers’ expectations related to mobile banking are growing every day, and at Citi they want to create remarkable experiences that surpass them.

"Customers want fast and simple access to their account information, and Citi Mobile Snapshot is the latest example of how we are finding new ways to deliver," Cox added.

The launch of new snapshot feature is part of the app’s complete redesign, which includes a cleaner sleeker design, intuitive navigation, alerts on-the-go features, and making the app run on iPhone and Android devices.
