Citibank (Citi) has launched a new visual
tracking and account analysis tool on its Citibank for iPad
App for credit card customers in the US.

Citi is the first major US credit card
provider to offer these features. Citi launched the initial version
of its app for iPad in July 2011, becoming the first major US bank
to offer graphs and visual representations of consumer banking
accounts and transactions.

The additions deliver those same advanced
personal finance tools to its more than 20m credit card
customers.

The intuitive user interface allows both
banking and card customers to check balances, control their cash
flow, pay bills, transfer funds, analyse personal spending, access
rewards and find nearby Citibank ATMs and branches.

The app also allows consumers to compare
personal spending habits with general consumer data, filtering by
location, age group, income bracket and purchase category.

Head of internet and mobile banking for North
America consumer banking at Citi, Tracey Weber, said the decision
to add visual tracking and the account analysis tool for credit
card customers followed the “extremely positive feedback” and
“extensive use” of the Citibank for iPad from bank customers.

“Citi cardholders can now use the iPad to
analyse their spending habits and compare spending and financial
goals with customisable graphs and charts, and we’re proud to be
the first major credit card provider to offer those kinds of
powerful tools.

“It is part of our commitment to provide
financial solutions to customers where and when they want
them.”

More than 77% of Citibank for iPad App users
visit three or more screens throughout the app’s different
sections during each session on an avarage, according to Citi.
