Céska Sporitelna, the Czech Republic-based subsidiary of Erste,
has launched an educational website aimed at boosting young
people’s financial know-how.

The portal at http://www.moneymanie.cz/ and
called Moneymanie, offers information such as how banks work, what
kinds of payment cards there are and how to get money for
studying.

It does not promote the bank’s products but
puts an emphasis on interactive content with the user, including
competitions, quizzes, discussions and news on finance.

“Getting oriented in the world of finance is a
necessity today,” said Klára Gajdušková, Céska Sporitelna director
of corporate communication.

“We realise that only information that is
presented in an unusual form stands a chance of captivating
attention. In this way Moneymanie adds another piece to our mosaic
of educational activities.”

Moneymanie has a profile on social networking
site Facebook and works in tandem with an already existing website,
www.reknito.cz.
