Mobile banking app Current has sued Calibra, a subsidiary of the social networking giant Facebook, over their very similar logos.

Calibra seeks to provide financial services that will allow people access and take part in the Libra network.

Current filed a lawsuit for trademark infringement in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, claiming that it started using the logo since August 2016.

The mobile banking app said that Calibra’s logo is not only confusingly similar to, but virtually identical to the Current Marks.

Current’s logo has several colors, while the logo of Calibra which was revealed in June this year has only one shade.

San Francisco based branding agency Character has designed the logos of both the companies and it has been named as defendant in the lawsuit.
