RBI.

Lal added that
DBS has “once again invested in the area” of mobile
banking
.

DBS has the highest adoption rate for
m-banking in Singapore and “so far, our strategy has paid off”,

“Our lifestyle apps are designed for our
customers’ dining and shopping convenience enabling them to locate
deals nearby using location based technology and augmented
reality,” said Lal.

“The take up rate of our mobile suite of
applications has far exceeded expectations, with over 380,000
unique users for m-banking and over 400,000 downloads for our
dining and shopping apps, DBS Indulge and DBS Shopper. Our iPad app
has seen over 200,000 downloads,” added Lal.

DBS was the first bank in Singapore to
introduce mobile coupons through the DBS Indulge and DBS Shopper,
said Lal, that enables consumers to “access the latest promotions
and redeem e-coupons at selected merchants from their devices on
the spot.”

According to Lal, “push notification
capabilities on these apps also ensure that customers do not miss
out on specific deals near them.”

DBS also has mobile apps for travel insurance
– Travellershield – as well as trading.
