Fintech company Diebold Nixdorf has deployed Microsoft Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 operating system on live ATMs.
This move, involving Eurasian Bank and Kapital Bank in Central Asia, is said to be a first for an ATM solution provider.
The software deployment, managed by Diebold Nixdorf’s licensed partner BS/2, aims to provide a stable and scalable long-term platform for banks.
This upgrade is expected to enhance customer experiences through improved security, speed, and usability, while also ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
The integration of Windows 11 with Diebold Nixdorf’s DN Series ATMs, alongside Vynamic Connection Points 7 and Vynamic Transaction Middleware software, promises support through October 2034.
Diebold Nixdorf executive vice president of Global Banking Joe Myers stated: “The successful implementation of Windows 11 with multiple customers reinforces Diebold Nixdorf’s continued commitment to modernising its core offerings and driving a competitive advantage for our global banking partners. As various regulatory compliance standards and requirements draw closer for financial institutions, we’re proud to be at the forefront of innovation, security and reliability within the banking landscape.”
