Digital Check, which offers cheque scanners and peripherals for the banking industry, has introduced a new TellerScan TSX40 cheque scanner for the Latin American region.

The new device was launched at the banking conference FELABAN Assembly.

The TSX40 is designed for light and medium-duty cheque image capture in retail banking and business use. It is developed by incorporating design elements of the TellerScan and SmartSource Elite series scanners.

The device comes with an automatic cleaning mode and ID card capture.

As the name suggests, the TellerScan TSX40 can deliver a maximum rated speed of 40 documents per minute and a 30-item feed capacity at an affordable price point.

Digital Check international sales vice-president Alex Trombetta said: “In our many years of doing business internationally, we sensed the need for a cheque capture device that includes multi-feed capability, but perhaps not the entire functionality of a production scanner for a busy US bank branch.

“The TSX40 was made to fill the middle ground of delivering performance and quality while fitting within the customer’s budget.”

The device can also meet the needs of financial institutions operating virtual branch environments by utilising a SecureLink network adapter.

Digital Check certified international distributors are now accepting orders for TellerScan TSX40.

The machine is currently not available in the US or Canada.
