Doha Bank has selected Ooredoo, a Qatar-based telecommunications provider, to upgrade its network infrastructure, enhance customer experience and reinforce security.
The deal will allow Doha Bank to manage the information exchange between headquarters, branches and ATMs across Qatar.
Additionally, Doha Bank’s customers can use Ooredoo’s data network to access ATMs, customer service call centres and internet banking services.
Doha Bank Group CEO, Dr R Seetharaman, said the agreement with Ooredoo demonstrates their commitment to driving innovation and providing superior customer experience.
"It will enhance mobility and extend our high security protocols, enabling our customers to continue interacting with the Bank and completing their transactions any time, any place, and from any device, with even more ease of access and functionality than before," Seetharaman added.
Ooredoo chief sales and services officer, Mohammed Saleh Al Marri, said the agreement ensures that Doha Bank’s network is future-proofed to meet the rising demand for personal and corporate financial services, and particularly to support their customers as they seek to access their financial data online and through their mobile devices.
