Emirates NBD Bank has introduced mobile cheque deposit facility through its new mobile banking app, adding to its digital banking offerings in the region.

The facility will allow the bank’s private banking and priority banking customers to deposit a cheque by capturing image of the cheque and uploading it using the Emirates NBD mobile banking app without the need to visit a branch or a cheque deposit machine (CDM).

The bank has also introduced a ‘Mobile Queuing Ticket’ service, a functionality to enable customers to obtain a queuing ticket for their branch transactions via the mobile app, before they reach the branch.

Emirates NBD head of multichannel and CRM Pedro Desousa Cardoso said: “In addition to the mobile cheque deposit facility and mobile queue ticket technology, the updated version of the Emirates NBD mobile banking app expands the services customers can access on-the-go, offering more than 100 transactions.

“We have also enhanced to the mobile banking app include easy access to a relationship manager for priority banking customers. It also features widgets that can be personalised using smart shortcuts.”
