Emirates NBD has launched a new service named FaceBanking that will allow its customers to video and live chat with personal banking advisers for queries and transactions on its revamped online platform and mobile app.

To avail the new service, which will be available 24/7, users will have to just click on a button on the online platform.

FaceBanking will enable users to personalise their profiles with images and links to social media, as well as input personal savings goals, the bank said. The service also aims to support quicker transactions by allowing users to create nicknames for accounts and cards.

The new service along with the upgraded online platform is part of the bank’s AED1bn ($272.2m) commitment for digitalisation and multichannel overhaul of its services over the next three years.

Emirates NBD senior executive vice president and group head for retail banking and wealth management Suvo Sarkar said: “Be it a query on an account or a loan discussion, customers can chat with a Personal Banking Advisor from anywhere with the click of a button via FaceBanking. The goals dashboard is innovative in its approach to helping customers manage their finances, and providing meaningful insights on their spending habits.”
