Ethiopia’s Awash International Bank (AIB) has implemented Misys FusionBanking Essence for transforming its core and branch banking processes.
FusionBanking Essence, an advanced retail/SME banking system, comprises a portfolio of componentised solutions for retail and SME banking ranging from channels to core banking.

The solution will help AIB offer quick response to customer needs, offer maximum efficiency, reduce IT costs, and enhance customer experience, Misys said.
At the same time, it will enable the lender to offer new and unique customer services in internet banking, mobile banking, agent banking, portal transaction and point of sale.
The bank has also installed Misys’ FusionBanking Essence Teller, a modern, browser-based teller application, across 97 branches in Ethiopia.
